Anotace: Diplomová práce sleduje na několika příkladech různá pojetí architektury nebo umění, v nichž se tyto obory v některých případech vzájemně prostupovaly a ovlivňovaly. Sleduje též, jakým způsobem k architektuře či umění přistupovali vybraní tvůrci. Cílem nebylo podat komplexní zhodnocení vzájemných vztahů, ale spíše nastínit tuto problematiku. Na vybraných umělcích a architektech je ukázáno, jak pracují s jazykem a možnostmi opačného média, jsou zdokumentovány jejich názory a nejvýznamnější díla. První kapitola diplomové práce popisuje obecné pokusy a teoretické úvahy o snahách převést buď malířství či sochařství do architektury, nebo naopak převést jazyk architektury do výtvarného umění, v průběhu 20. století. Druhá část je věnována čtyřem umělcům, z nichž každý po svém vytvářeli své vlastní architektonické koncepce a jimž architektura sloužila jako jeden z pracovních nástrojů. Z těchto umělců jsem vybrala Yves Kleina, Roberta Smithsona, Gordona Matta-Clarka a Dana Grahama. Poslední kapitola je pak zasvěcena vazbám k umění v díle švýcarských architektů Herzoga & de Meurona.
Abstract: The graduation thesis traces several examples of different architecture and art approaches, in which these fields fuse and influence each other in some cases. It deals with different authors´ approaches to art and architecture. The thesis isn´t aimed at giving complex evaluation of mutual relations, but, more likely, at outlining the issue. It shows how the chosen artists and architects work with language and possibilities of the other field, their opinions and most important projects are documented. The first chapter describes general attempts and theoretical reflections of the efforts to transfer sculpture and painting to architecture or to transfer the language of architecture to fine arts. The second part focuses on four artists, who created their own architectural concepts and who used architecture as one of their work instruments. The chosen artists are Yves Klein, Robert Smithson, Gordon Matta-Clark and Dan Graham. The last chapter is dedicated to Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron and describes the linkage between art and architecture in their work.
