Born in northern New South Wales in 1938, Madonna Staunton studied in Brisbane under Roy Churcher, Jon Molvig and Bronwyn Yeates. A painter who uses collage in her work, she has exhibited in Brisbane since 1976. Staunton's work is represented in the Australian National Gallery, Canberra, the Queensland Art Gallery and institutional collections.
