Taryn Simon
TARYN SIMON (*1975) je multidisciplinární umělkyně, která pracuje s fotografií, textem, sochou a performancí. Její dílo je charakteristické rozsáhlými rešeršemi, zájmem o systémy kategorizace a klasifikace. Vystavovala mimo jiné v Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, Moskva (2016), Jeu de Paume, Paříž (2015); Ullens Center for Contemporary Art, Peking (2013); MoMA, New York (2012); Tate Modern, Londýn (2011); Neue Nationalgalerie, Berlín (2011) a Whitney Museum of American Art, New York (2007). Je zastoupena ve sbírkách MoMA, Tate Modern, Guggenheim Museum, Centre Georges Pompidou a Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Simon vystudovala Brownovu univerzitu a působila jako Guggenheim Fellow. Žije a pracuje v New Yorku.
